Health Cadres: Equipped with Brochures and Flipcharts in Elucidation of Cancer in Children
Approximately 80% of children in industrial countries whose cancer is treated early will survive. Meanwhile, in developing countries only 20% or 10% of children will survive from cancer. This small percentage of children survive from cancer is caused by limited access to proper information, lack of parents awareness in conducting early cancer detection, and lack of effective treatment in countries with a lack of resources, while 80% children suffering from cancer live in the developing countries. |

Training for Community Health Center’s Doctors and Staffs about Early Detection and Referral Treatment Process of Retinoblastoma and Leukemia in Child

The findings of qualitative research, which was conducted at the beginning of the campaign, shows that Community Health Center (Puskesmas) doctors have limited understanding about the basic information of retinoblastoma and leukemia. Community Health Center staffs also have limited understanding about the Gakin and Askeskin scheme. |
